The Village Support Network is a
proven strategy to help families exiting homelessness move toward stability and self-sufficiency. Through this program, support teams of trained volunteers work with families to help them achieve their goals. You can make a difference in a family's life. It's a six-month commitment, about 5-6 hours a month. It's not something to take lightly. But it can make all the difference for a child and her family as they make the difficult transition from shelter to
housing.
We have an orientation for the program on November 17 from
7:00-8:30. No commitment is required to attend, we just want you to come and learn more. You can find more information about Village Support Network at our website: www.newcityinitiative.net/bethevillage. Or just sign up for the
orientation and we'll send you the details: http://facebook.us5.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=fa209520dc56129ddff4aaf3e&id=5a19747fde&e=6809c99e42
This blog is to announce and promote the various services for the poor that we have in East Multnomah County, including Gresham, East Portland, Troutdale, Fairview and Wood Village.
